Many of us are aware of the new csa-2010 rolling-out. I've found myself seeking work with more strict criteria than ever before. After almost a month of submitting applications, I've found myself with no phone calls.
Most states are in need of money right now. I feel the tight economy is causing more tickets to be issued for minor violations. I've received four in the last year. Two not coming to a complete stop before turning on Red. One obstructing Traffic. One failure to Obey Sign (No Trucks).
A little advice to all my Brethren drivers, keep your record clean. I received a separation notice from Dunkin' Donuts in January. Every application I submit is followed by a policy reminder of 3 violations in three years.
I'm now seeking a Delivery Helper position. To say the least, it's humiliating. Being terminated really made me feel useless. Now difficulty finding work is making for lower.
Keep the record clean and there is plenty of work for experienced drivers. It looks like I'm out for a little while .
My Record got me

That is why you never, ever just pay a ticket.
A 5 minute phone call to an attorney is Free, and it may save your bacon.
I now check my MVR, and DAC quarterly................
only due to errors, which can and do occur.
I haven't worked for a DAC outfit in many years, but 2 years ago- somebody elses poop ended up on my report.
Easy to fix, and the sooner the better !!! -
You have experience, why not try dispatching or another non-driving function in a company?!?!...I'm not even sure if that's realistic but it's the first thing I thought of...

Thats why you plan your route.Obey all posted speed limits.Always follow the law.In saying that we all break the LAW to some point. Just this person got caught doing it.
As i'm sorry you can't find work. But not sorry at the same time all those tickets would not be there if you were paying attention. And followed the law. nobody is invincible. Hopefully other's will read this and stop and think for a few seconds(WOW THIS COULD BE ME.)
The only people that suffer from your actions in this case is your family. God Speed and good luck!!!! -

Go across the street and apply at New Century. I've delivered to Dunkin there in Jersey and know their terminal is spitting distance. They seem to be a pretty good outfit, they did local cartage into NYC for my former job.
Then if the office sucks too bad, in a little while your record will clear up and you can come back and join us in our madness! -
Learn to drive like your job and personal welfare depends on it, because it does!

The former safety guy at a popular carrier on this site had the highest claim accident in their history. I guess they wanted to give the job to who had gone through the routine.
Why discourage anyone looking for employment?
That doesn't make sense.
