I received a letter from the state this morning saying they denied the renewal of my license. It is for an unpaid ticket I had with my former company I worked for, the boss man told me it was being taken care of and I put my faith in him. They didn't take care of the ticket and now they denied the renewal of my license, I guess that means they took my license away. The ticket was for the leaf spring assembly and failure to appear, I was not speeding or reckless driving or any moving violation. Would I have a case if I took this to court? The company I just got hired on at has got me driving commercial vehicles and I can't drive now, what should I do?

You have already been found guilty of the charge(s). The charge(s) are on your MVR.

Do you want to spend money trying to get this overturned by a lawyer OR do you want to pay the fine, get your license back and get back to work earning money?

Seems like a no brainer to me.

They want the money and are holding the cards. Kind of limits your options.

Pay the ticket then pay to get you license back. it will be a lot cheaper and a lot faster.

yeah sounds like you got a fix it ticket then a fta for not showing up. just go to court and pay the ticket, if you can't afford it they'll work out a payment plan for you and they should reinstate your license the same day

NEVER trust a company to pay tickets. They're still in business, you aren't. You were convicted and extra charges were added to it. The deal's over- pay up or walk away.

I would contact the court and find out how much the fee is. We've seen this kind of thing and typically $75 would cover it. Ask them how that is going to reflect on your MVR and then decide if a contacting a lawyer is the way to go. Live and learn.
