Terrible for Drivers!
This company only wants to make money for itself! They don't care about drivers at all! The 10% copay medical insurance that I didn't have before sucks because I have to pay $40/week for the premium. They have a retirement plan, but I'm expected to contribute to it and I don't get to withdraw money from it whenever I want to.
They gave me a $90K truck to drive and someone else had it before me. I should have a brand new truck even though I just got off my trainer's truck. I should be getting 50cpm after taxes, not this pissant starter wage. I'm better than that.
Oh, the trainer was a POS because he expected me to drive and learn how to back up without hitting anything. He made me do all the paperwork. Who did he think I was? His secretary?
Now I have to do all my own paperwork. And I don't get automatically reimbursed for truck expenses unless I turn in receipts!
The company ran me through their training because I had never seen the interior of a truck before in my life. Paid for my CDL and all the endorsements. Now they think I should pay them back for this! It doesn't matter that I signed a loan paper saying I had to pay $50/week out of my pay and the loan is interest free and it didn't cost as much as if I had gone to the community college. I deserve a free license because I exist and I want one!
Oh, it gets even better!
They send loads to me and expect me to pick them up and deliver them...when the customers want it done! What, do they think I'm a robot? I don't get to stay at the truck stop BSing with supertruckers and drinking coffee because of their schedule. It ain't fair!
Oh, I better not hit anything, damage their equipment or run over school children. They set the trucks to run a speed they want, not what I think I should be doing. So what if I couldn't control a truck at 35mph two months ago! I wanna go 80!
(moved) This company actually wants to know what's going on with me. They get upset when I disappear for four days with their truck and trailer and don't bother to tell them what's up. I can't believe they would want to pry in my personal business like that!
I don't get to say what shop fixes their truck. Yeah, I know they can get a discount at certain places, but it isn't convenient for me and I don't get to go where ever I want to!
The leasing program? Hah! What a joke! I didn't have good credit or a down payment when I signed that pile of papers. I didn't bother to read them because I was bored. I didn't understand all that mumbo jumbo anyway. I ain't a lawyer, ya know. What do you mean I have to pay for my own fuel and watch my expenses? It's their lease, they should run it for me. All I want to do is collect the big bucks like they promised.
This company should be run more like a charity than a business. It just ain't right that they should expect to make a profit at the end of the year!
You guys amaze me.
