This sweet little southern belle is on a rampage this morning!!! Here are THE RULES for the fuel island.
1. PULL IN THE RIGHT WAY NOT BACKWARDS!
2. DO NOT PULL INTO A FUEL SPOT UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO PAY. DO NOTARY TO AUTHORIZE YOUR CHECK AT THE PUMP!!! (this applies to the d#@&* foreigners ho can't speak English if you know what I mean!)
3. IF YOU WANT TO GET A FAST FOOD ORDER...GO PARK!! YOU KNOW THEY ARE SLOW CAUSE THEY'RE PAID BY THE HOUR NOT THE MILE!!!!
4. IN OTHER WORDS ....FUEL OR GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!!
I am also including an apology to those who saw my rampage at the FI in Mccall Al this morning! But if you don't know the rules. STAY HOME ON THE COUCH!!!!!

Clear the fuel island as soon as you're done, even if you're just running inside to squizzle.

hmm, and all this time I've been thinking I was supposed to go fuel myself in the restaurant well my trucks tank was filling, guess you learn something new everyday

I thought this thread was going to be about the rules for a new reality TV show... call me disappointed.

It'd be nice if rule #5 didn't have to exist but reality is what it is. And of all the rules, learning to obey #5 is what will go the farthest in terms of improving your quality of life.nakoBilly Thanks this. -
Hmmm. I thought these where the rules...
1) Pull in sideways so your trailer is blocking the fuel island entrance next to you.
2) Get out of truck and drop all your trash directly on the ground in front of pump.
3) Talk loudly on phone.
4) Go inside and curse lady behind counter because fuel card doesn't work
5) Pay in $1's and change
6) Fuel and then pull up just enough to block the walkway and pumps so no one else can use them.
7) Go back inside and wash self off in sink. Still be yelling on phone.
8( Walk around for 15 minutes looking in store because they might have something different.
9) Go to McD's and stand there for 15 minutes because there menu might have something different.
10) Walk thru store once more.
11) Go out to truck and eat food while still sitting blocking pumps.
12) Finally move away from pumps but block the exit for another 10 minutes.Last edited: Jan 17, 2012

Sometimes it does get a little frustrating when you're in a hurry but the rest of the world is not. There have been a couple of times when I've put my info in at the pump and had to go inside to get it done in there. That slows everyone down, ties up the pump a little longer. OH WELL ! When I'm done I pull up, go get my receipt, fill up my coffee, and go pottie. If that takes a bit to do, again OH WELL !
Not everyone runs on fuel cards either. Some have to go in and get a com-check approved for their fuel. To me (since I've worked like that too) OH WELL. They'll take care of their business and then I'll get to take care of mine.
Used to be that there were "fuel desks" where ALL fuel transactions were handled. The people who ran those desks were good, and fast. It all ran smooth. Now, it's a cash register at most places where you stand behind the person buying sodas, the one doing a com-check, and the one who wants a shower. OH WELL !
I agree it's frustrating to want to take care of your business only to see someone come out with a weeks worth of groceries and a fast food order who have been holding up the whole process. It's the way it is now-a-days. Not right, but it is what it is.LostOne9, DrtyDiesel, Red Hot Mess and 6 others Thank this. -
