Ok here is a new one to me. Started fueling today, went to the passenger side, removed the nozzle flipped the pump lever and fuel sprayed everywhere.Whatever person fueled before me left the nozzle lever locked in the on position. Whether the driver fuels that way to get every drop, or did it as a prank, it's wrong. Jeans and boots I will try to salvage, shirt was soaked so I threw it away. Boots are 2 days old.
So if you flip the pump lever off first to get every drop, please disengage the nozzle lever.

Now the island and pull up area were empty when I pulled in. I asked the manager for the company name and truck number of person fueling before me, knowing he might not be able to retrieve that info. But he didn't tell me he couldn't, he told me he WOULDN'T give me the info.
    So, lesson learned.

Well, nozzle should be in the tank before you activate the pump, but that sucks. Is why I always finger/release the lever before turning the pump on, and again when hanging it up.

following simple rules at the truck stop like pulling up , using four way hazards and keeping your speed safe is all part of being a good driver. How we drive at the truck stop carries over onto the road and customer. Kenszo

Forgot to add the translation under it.

Very true, I see a lot of people leave the fuel island or just driving through the parking lot acting like their taking a test to see how many gears they can grab before they have to stop at the exit, for the exits that do have stop signs anyway.

For large parking lots I don't go into high range, on my 10 speed I usually creep in 4th, 3rd if its a tight place.

Just to add in case it hasn't been mentioned yet... Shut your headlights off when entering any truck stop, rest area, scale and shipper/receiver. Be courteous to your fellow drivers!

I used to do this all the time but my new truck has the automatic running lights that come on when the parking brake is released, no way of turning them off. I completely agree with you though.

    3) Talk loudly on phone.

    4) Go inside and curse lady behind counter because fuel card doesn't work

    5) Pay in $1's and change

    6) Fuel and then pull up just enough to block the walkway and pumps so no one else can use them.

6)a When pulling away from your pump into pull up lane block your lane and the lane next to you. (See attached)

    7) Go back inside and wash self off in sink. Still be yelling on phone.

8( Walk around for 15 minutes looking in store because they might have something different.

    9) Go to McD's and stand there for 15 minutes because there menu might have something different.

    10) Walk thru store once more.

    11) Go out to truck and eat food while still sitting blocking pumps.

    12) Finally move away from pumps but block the exit for another 10 minutes.

Seeing more and more of this right here. Had to make a amendment to the rules.

I think they need to put eye beams in the fuel isle with timers on them with a clock on the canopy in front. you pull in break the beam the timer starts... you have 20 minutes to get out of the fuel isle or you lose your discount!!! (assuming of course the shmuck on the yellow line is gone) I will say that due to the totally crappy parking situations at the pilots, I would rather see a trainee/rookie sit in the fuel isle for a few minutes then attempt to back in and rip my hood off.
