huny, they all will lie to you some more than others, try Suttles in Delopolis,Al.They wont "keep" you south of M/D but will get there a lot more often.See if they still have regional openings.

Out of curiosity, may I ask why you're so opposed to rolling north of Mason-Dixon? Pretty fair amount of freight up yonder....

Funny thing about the M-D line. It almost wasn't called that.

Seems the two individuals involved, a Mr. Mason and Edward Dixon, couldn't agree on the name...each wanted to be listed first, as it were. Fortunately, with their second choice of names, they got it right.

    Oh, their first choice?

    Mr. Ed.

Yeah...that's the actual routing. The paid routing is much shorter.

Your about 90 miles from Henegar, AL. storeytrucking.com is a good one if you like running to Phoenix/LA and back (Dalton, GA carpet out/produce back). They grew since I've been there. Use to pay 25% and get paid as soon as you complete each round trip. Usually around $1700-2000 doing a reset on each end. You have to be a runner.

Only downside is you have to leave the truck at the terminal so it can be serviced while you are off. They are relaxed on off time if you don't abuse it. Good people there. I don't know if it's changed any, but my truck was governed at 80.

18 years experience, you can call the shots. Worker smarter, not harder.

Why run in congestion and tolls when the south offers wide open highways and better weather?

Can't disagree with any of that. But calling ones own shots isn't always an option for a myriad of reasons, from work history to the economy. I'm still OTR because it's just the best way for me to work at present (long story that I'll save for a really bad weather day!).

And quite frankly, there are a lot of places north of M-D that require no more work than going to Atlanta, Charlotte, or Dallas.
