I'm a shaving cream / razor kind of guy, but I'm thinking that won't always be convenient while OTR. So, I'm looking at alternatives in the form of electric shavers. I'd like to hear from current OTR drivers (male would probably be most relevant) regarding what you use for daily shaving of facial hair.

I keep blades as back-up, but my daily "driver" is a Braun 8975. It's a few years old, and I just replaced the cutter and foil the first of the year for the first time.
Charges quickly...does the job. I do not have a thick beard, however. -
I shave every 2-4 days usually... there's a TS somewhere around usually. Between all the Pilot/FJ/TA/Petro/Love's and some smaller ones you shouldn't have a problem finding a bathroom/shower.
MNdriver and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
Ive seen some carry their shaving kit inside a restarea. So even though showers may not be available, use the restroom sink, whether at a restarea or a trk stop.I would bring both type of razors.Use the electric razor for when u feel lazy and dont wanna get out of your trk.

I use a battery powered norelco shaver that has 2 round shaving heads. I've had it for years and it works great. I've tried other electric razors that just have the single curved shaving surface and they don't work as well for me.

I shut down at the end of the day and fuel and use the shower to get a good nights rest.
SHC Thanks this. -
Gillette Mach3 razor and gel shaving cream..... I also shower every morning so it's not as big a hassle as some would think but I could also not shave for 5 days and still not grow a beard. I got that baby face
Now of u planned to shave everyday but couldn't shower then I'd look into the Norelco electric shavers.CenutryClass Thanks this. -
Get a tupperware container large enough to hold a sandwich.
Buy a 1L bottle of water.
Pour a little water into the container so you have enough to rinse the razor out with. Pour a little into your hand (over the container). Wet your hands and get your face wet.
Apply a small amount of shave cream/gel. Use paper towel to clean off your hands.
Wet razor. Shave. Use container with water to rinse your razor off with.
Use a little bit of water to wash your face off when you're done.
Use paper towels to dry off your face and razor.
Dump used water into grass behind your truck.
Dry sandwich container with paper towel.
This way if you aren't able to shower, at least you can shave.

i use a electric razor to shave when a shower is not available. i prefer a razor shave but unless i have hot water to soften the hair a bit i cant shave with a razor. so the tupperware wouldn't work for me
