I live in Vermont I make on average of $46-$52,000 a year driving local tractor-trailer I have four years of tractor-trailer driving experience in eight years of class B work the wife and I are sick of the cost of living up here in Vermont and we have friends and family that live in San Antonio Texas Will be easy for me to find a job down there keep in mind that I'm not looking to go over the road there're some job postings that working in the oil fields bring in 61,000 a year is that a realistic number

WOW, and I was thinking so many people MOVE UP THERE to get away with the cost of living further south of you!!! Like land was supposed to be cheaper, etc, etc. Maybe that is Maine???
I have relatives in Tex-a-z-z, they like it, and frankly I like it too, as they are far, far away from us, so we never see them anymore.

I do believe SA would be quite a culture shock. Do you speak Spanish? The heat is bad out there, and I'm a Floridian! Good luck to ya, but I wouldn't move my kids to SA.
