So here's the deal. I worked for Werner for 5 months in 09. Had 3 minor incidents all in Oct 09 and they let me go. Is there any decent training company that will take me under their wing and do like a 2 week refresher course? .......anybody but CR England would be great.:biggrin_25523:

Or would I be better off waiting till october of this year for my DAC to clear and then try?

If it has been since 09 since you last drove, you will have to go thru more than a 2 week refresher course.
The accidents will drop off your DMV record in 3 years, but will be on your DAC for 10 years.
3 accidents, even minor ones, in one month points to an inattentive driver. I don't know the specifics, but a recruiter will get that impression.
You may try to get on with a smaller local family owned company to gain some recent experience. They will probably not use DAC reporting, since it costs THEM money to report and to pull driver records.
Best of luck in your employment search.

I am not even concerned about the length of the refresher or the OTR training I just want to get back out there. I will keep searching. Thank you.

CRST isn't too picky, but you'll most likely have to go through their entire 28 day "training" program since you've been out of a truck for awhile. I was only out for 8 months and I was told I had to start back at square one. I almost went through with it, but instead decided to keep the local driving contract I have now. Theres still part of me debating going back OTR but the idea of having to do training all over again isn't something I'm too keen on. Just something to be aware of; If you do go with crst request a company driver trainer. Mine was an O/O, and although he was a cool dude, his old freightshaker broke down almost constantly. I spent three months otr and didn't even get 28 days behind the wheel. The company drivers have newer rigs. The first trainer they got me was a company man and he had a 2012 volvo. I'm almost entirely sure I would have finished in a month had they not reassigned me.

so they provide their own training? I'd like to go to a school that provides and finances training and guarantees me a job rather than go back to the school I went to and HOPE somebody hires me afterwards:biggrin_2556:
