Alot of fuel milage also has to do with driver style of driving. Do they wind er up and shift, progressive shift or keep their foot buried to the fan clipping their toe nails. Weight and mountains also play a big part.

I apologize. I failed to mention rear end gear ratio's.

The T660 with C15 I drive, has a 3.25 rear end ratio. I feel that is also part of why I get the mpg that I do. And despite having a 3.25, like I said, with the C15 torq and 18 spd, 5 - 6% grades are no problem to climb.

I honestly dont know what gear ratio is in our 386. I will find out tomorrow.

Yeah, that's what I thought too...

    But...

Our most fuel efficient Pete now, the guy that's driving it doesn't give a poop about fuel mileage and just drives. Try to get it to the 65 miles limited speed and keep it there...

And that first Pete, no matter who drove it, it always had great mileage, believe it or not...

i hardly doubt anyone is buying engines from us. cuz we drive em till they are dead. most people don't even change there oil likie they should.

now there's japan. they aren't allowed to drive over 30,000 miles on there engines. at one point and tme. there used to be a lot of engine shops selling used engines. from japan.
