I always just stop in Barstow and head into town about 5am. Never stayed at the bottom of the hills. I prefer the Wheeler Ridge TA but that's on I-5

If you are pulling a tanker you could stay at the LA Tank Wash at Bandini and S Downey Rd. They have a decent shower there too.

I just departed the Ontario T/A, my layover spot. Believe it or not you can find receipts laying everywhere and pick them up like one driver did, I always put on some fuel and get a few things so the 20.00 is not a big deal in the store or fuel desk. They will accept any ticket from any purchase inside the truck stop. West side T/A is run down.

I tried looking up any closer free ones for the area, okay...
This one has only 1/2 hr parking to customers only.
Commerce Truck Stop
(323) 881-0694I-710 Ex 20 4560 E Washington Blvd Commerce,CA 90040
These you have to pay for to get into also and they don't say how many parking spaces they have either. They have services like truck wash, repair, etc.
Three Sisters Truck Stop
(909) 822-4415 I-10 Ex 61 (Cherry St) 14416 Slover Ave Fontana,CA 92337
Valley Colton Truck Stop(909) 824-1296 I-10 Ex 71 (Sperry) 791 E Valley Blvd Colton,CA 92324
Guess CA likes to get products, just not take care of the truckers. Husbands terminal is in Mira Loma luckily.

there was a motel/fleabag in Pico Rivera called the Roadway i think. That was decades ago.it was a motel, loosely termed,w/parking for quite a few trucks.had a lounge and all of it.easy in/easy out, nasty, but excellent for a burned out driver especially when the company reimbursed due to multiple drops of carpet around LA.I would use the lot even when not staying there for a short stay.
remarks please from those that know because i then will know and you know exactly what i am in the know about.that place was cool and even had a pool.it was a trucker hot spot.
regarding parking outside by the curb in/around LA,i would always get a parking ticket put on my truck as i slept outside delivery yet the cop would never wake me up.didn't matter what area i was in.Last edited by x#1; 07.07.2012 at 10.59 PM.

Pretty sure 27 bazillion people = very little room for truck parking. Probably pretty tough to find overnight/weekend parking in any major city, even though they all like to get products.
Like someone else said, if possible, stay somewhere outside of LA. Drop in early morning and sit on the curb until they open. Or find out if the receiver has parking available on the street or something. I delivered in LA every other week for 18 months a few years ago. Never had a problem when I planned ahead.

There's tons of places to park all over LA. You just gotta know where they are.
