All I personally know is that they are owned by Covenant Transportation Group, but run independently of Covenant (mostly -- we do share drop yards and fuel stops). Most I see on the road seem satisfied. There is an inactive forum here where you can get a longer term perspective: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tru...stryforum/srt/ Just keep in mind that people are much more likely to go out of their way to post bad experiences than good...

I know their company HQ is in Texarkana, AR and you can see it from I-30.
I know their road test was pretty easy and their backing test was a breeze.
I know they had one of the best lunches of the orientations I've been to.

i worked for them for a few years. when you start getting into the bigger carriers, is there a huge difference between them? they have about 1,000 trucks. they are very good about keeping the equipment repaired and DOT compliant. they are concerned about safety. trucks have elogs. they just recently put in a couple of new inspection bays at their terminal in Texarkana, and quickly inspect each vehicle which stops for fuel or supplies etc. i think i read in their ad that per diem is mandatory for the first 90 days? don't quote me on that.

I do have reservations about a company (I found this out later) who's phone # is 1-800-BIG-PAY-DAY.
However, the guy who runs orientation is really nice. There was a lady who helped him who was also really nice, and I can't remember her name but I met this little blonde woman who works in the fuel dept who was a little pistol. (not in a bad way)
