No idea. According to the book in the truck, it was an Eaton product. All I know is that while I drove it, I never once felt the need to try to override it and shift it myself. It shifted when I would have shifted pretty much 100% of the time.

Way I see things is the more electronic crap they add the more chance of sitting in the shop.

We drive an 04 9400 that has the meritor 12 speed. Both my wife and I hate it. Getting ready to buy a different truck this year, this one will have a 10 or 13 speed in it!

drive straight trucks with the eaton auto trans. Our tractors are all manual. Prefer manual over auto. but they both pay bills so no complaints.

I drive what ever they tell me to. Transmissions range from manual to autos. The only ones I haven't driven are the I-shifts. If it is an Eaton or an Allison I have driven them.

You are certainly entitled to feel that way. But we should acknowledge that your statement is speculation.

My company hasn't seen any significant downtime issues related to the automatics that we run. My statement is fact.
