I used to drive for 2 different Nascar teams.....
Out west we would get in a pack of 3 to 5 trucks and hammer it. 100 mph with plenty of pedal left.
Sometimes if you see those trucks look for a decked out motor coach running the front door.
He would get out front because of the electronics in the motor coach....Radar jammer!

The DOT cracked down on the Nascar guys a few years ago with huge fines.
Now the trucks still run but the drivers are told to slow it down.

I was in Nevada running 105 and the Speed channel rigs dusted me one night.

All the roads i run are 70 speed limit....nothing wrong with going with the flow driver.
60 miles per hour and i would be sleeping!

As long as you keep that road hazard in the right lane! Or better yet off the interstate!

I encountered two Prime baby sleeper trucks running about 50-53 mph on my way home this past week. They must really have wanted that fuel bonus.

Pretty funny... Looks like the majority of the drivers on here would have never made it in trucking when our NATIONAL speed limit was 55 for all states. Personally, Im very happy with my 60-65 mph truck cruising it the right lane now-a-days. Had many triple digit trucks and wasnt nuthing special. Keeping the cash in my pocket is more enjoyable to me anymore. Be safe out there drivers.

Thanks for the laugh, Jake! All I could hear in in my mind when I read this was one of the big radio posuers from a few years back...

#PING! PING!# "Kamahn driver, *smack* *smack* Get outta da way! I gotz to git'em both up on da dash!" #BEEP!#

Usually broadcast from the comfy confines of a chicken light lit 9 speed FLD condo that could only break 70 in Georgia overdrive.

I remember those days very well......Had to keep the radio on and radar detector on the dash.
At least back then drivers actually gave bear reports on the radio.

I am like you though...i hate paying lawyers!

The fuel I save is a lot more valuable than 45min more at home at night. I could burn almost $100 more a day in fuel doing the same loads going faster. I'd rather have the money in my pocket.
