    OR-140, Hows the drive?

Anyone taken 140 from Central Point OR all the way to 95 in Nevada? Im headed to Salt Lake City and usually just cut across from I5 to I80 at Weed, which is how the company wants it done, but I currently can't scale out for California. I believe I once was told its a nicer route then cutting across by Shasta.

    Anyone been down it?

i live in redding and cutting across by shasta or redding isnt too bad of a drive just a little narrow on 89 there but how far north are you? i would say highway58 would be a good bet and cut down through klamath falls and there are no scales in california through alturas and susanville

I'm in Medford, just picked up a couple miles north of here. Would have taken it back to get adjusted but my 14 was #### near up. Don't want to dick with it in the morning if I don't have to. 58 is a bit of a detour from here.

Screw it, I'll just head back over to the shipper when they open and get it adjusted. I'll use less hours cutting across by Shasta.

140 is a decent road, it dumps you out at denio jct just above Winnie. There's about a 30 mile strecth that is straight as an arrow. If I remember right there is one long gradual grade as you climb up out of the valley around the Or/Nv border.

We used to run that way all of the time, but I believe there is now a 53 trailer limit on that route, BUT I could wrong it has been several years.
