us 55 in idaho. boise to mccall
anyone ever take.
i think there are signs that say no trailers over 48 and permits required and that the scale at the bottom actually pulls you in to check for permits???? and sometimes has bad attitudes to wards the drivers.
i pull flat so i'm only 48. but debating on that or the longer way around.

The "permit" they require in ID is called "Off Track Variances". Required for all Comm Veh. traveling off the Interstate system.
You should be good to go on 55 up to McCall. That scale is at the restriction point after the STAA route. The Off Track permit is basically for those pulling 53's.
