Minnesota Drivers
Aloha Drivers,
I will be heading to your state next week and have a few questions.
Where is your safety check stickers located on truck and trailer? Got pics of stickers?
Are your registration stickers located on rear license plate of both truck and trailer?
What is the max length of trailer allowed in MN? 48ft or 53ft?
Are flatbed spread axle trailers very common in MN?
If you guys got some time and are near the convention center on Aug 9-12, come check out the Super Bowl of trucking.

In Hawaii, we do things a little different. We don't even do log books. Our safety check is located on the front passenger windshield. I think the rest of the states are located elsewhere. Registration stickers are on the rear of both truck and trailer and on the license plates upper right corner.
I will need to do a pretrip for the competition so any info would help.

don't get wrapped up in it.
Just do what you are used to and don't try to change.
I learned that mistake 25+ years ago in an automotive skills contest trying to second guess the competition.
It's gonna be generic not state specific.

Yeah thanks for the advice. I guess I gotta look at some trucks when I land in MSP to see what they look like. I have 8 minutes to pretrip a truck so any intel could help. So you see why looking for stickers in the wrong place could cost me some points.

the state DOT trucks I drove last year had the MN state DOT sticker on the lower left corner of the drivers windshield if that's the ones you are looking for.

I was referring to the State Safety Check stickers. Our US DOT stickers are located on the doors below the company name.
