I'm thinking about going back over the road, but all of the companies that I am talking to(not very many right now) are still bringing that jive about they won't run solos west of the rockies. So, who is the best company to work for, if I live in the Southeast, but I want to run out West/Northwest and maybe a little Canada, too??? Thx,J.

About all West Coast runs are team trucks now.
I can't think of any that are solo West coast in this area.I'm sure there may be a few out there that still do it but it would take a ton of calling around.
Good luck!
Myself,I used to run West every week. Now i run dedicated runs in GA,TN,FL,SC and an occasional PA route.
Off on weekends and home a night or two during the week........love it!
West coast runs get old REALLY fast! -
In my 10+ months with Conway Truckload, I ran in 46 states and Ontario, Quebe c, and New Brunswick provinces. Even had a preplan for BC that got canceled. You must be able to get passport and Hazmat. They are forced dispatch tho.

my company, royal trucking company, west point, ms but you are a little too far away. only 1 yard and have to leave truck on yard when home. they kept me kind of close when i started, but last few months been all west, ND, MT, AB, CO. get home every other wek on when we go out west, every week when closer
got van and flat. van tends to stay east more, i had to do probation in van and i think dallas was the farthest west i went(LOT of SE) -
