Do you mean $170 per week or per trailer for unloading? If it's per week, then go with Averitt.

If it were me, I would go with Averitt. Dollar General you will fingerprint (hand touch/unload) every piece on the trailer, maybe over 1000 boxes on each trailer. Then you spend the rest of the day dirty & sweaty. It's your call though.

That's pretty good money. If you're young & strong with a family to support that may be the way to go. You've been a driver for 2 years; maybe consider getting your tanker/hazmat & easily take home $1200 weekly & the hardest part is hooking up a couple of hoses. A&R Transport drivers average $65K per year. Either way, you have 2 good choices right now to choose from.

Your body isn't worth the money. I did Werner Dollar General and thet only paid $10 per unload. Take Averritt.

Averitt, but for all the better reasons,
One, they are on an upscale climb in transpo business, between their LTL and other divisions, see this company going from a super regional to lower 48 state player within the current decade.
Two,They look to be better than avg cash rich, always good equipment wise
Three, they remind me of when Estes was a super regional and then bought out GI Trucking from Portland OR, look at em now,and their employee retention rate is very strong most part.
Four, they look to be managed fairly well, always a plus
Five, their wages are lower somewhat, but that'll keep changing as they grow. next three five years see them more than comp yrly earnings
whew, sorry, just had my eye on this company before, checked em out a bit and this was what came away with

    Xile Thanks this.
