I am in the process of finding a storage location to park my truck during home time. I drive for Knight and drive a Volvo VN with a sleeper. They ask me the size of parking spot I will need to just park the truck without a trailer. Can anyone help me with this?

volvo's website shows the VN wheelbase to be between 144 and 261 inches. time to bust out the tape measure.

I'm guessing 144 in is the daycab and 261 is the 780 sleeper. Since Knight uses the 670 sleepers, you're probaby looking at a roughly 250 in. I think a good ballpark figure would be about 26 feet from nose to tail just to be safe. About the size of a class C RV.

Tell the storage place you need about 2 regular car spaces (length) and 9ft width minimum.

You will need to pull out the tape measure to really know. The wheelbase of the truck is not the total length, rather the distance from the steer axle to the middle of the two tandem axles. If you just use that number you will be missing a couple feet.
