Well I would say yes Im in the high percentage legal as well. Just that on those harried nights once in a blue moon you find yourself working 14 hours and 12 minutes on your e-logs because the consignee is like you can't stay here. And I wanted to know #1 if this happens to other people and #2 what kind of trojble that will cause me down the line. Can my e-logs get audited a year from now and Im busted?
HOS violations. How often and how bad?

6 minutes on elog will probally get u a warning with ur company just dont make a habbit out of it and u should be fine dot doesnt USUALLY check elogs roadside not saying they havent or wouldent but after 8 days i'd say ur safe from dot
now if u on paper stay running legal as much as possible ur still new u will learn in time what u can be creative with but if u need to be creative and dont know how DONT GUESS ask an older driver prefferably a bull hauler or a reefer hauler they will learn u young grass-hoppa chances are they will teach u how to make the logbook sing mary had a little lamb if u want it to lol
we will not go in to how i log as my book can be dropped and put someones eye out 95% of the time but its the chance i take and i am well paid for what i do -
Heh. Thanks fisher guy. Very informative

That and some of the varied methods of elogs might be better answered back channel instead of an open forum that can be read like FB.
And your company might, like they say haul you in on a class for logging or you might get a call from safety. Either way it is a red flag to them.
It is a pain to sometimes not have a place to park or way to get there. Husband was 7hrs into his 10 and his co-driver was on his 34 when they were asked by CO state police to move. They were south of Lamar, CO, all the inns were full and he knew of a place down the road that had a wide, packed dirt spot off side of the highway. Smokey guess didn't like it.
He has crept out of places to get to a t/s where it would not kick in the elogs. -

if you run into a situation and a shipper/rec, that will be running close.
NOTIFY DISPATCH !!
always keep them in the loop. they may even pull you out and return later. drop the trailer, ect.
if they ask you to run a load and you don't have the hrs, SAY SO !! on the Quaalcom never on the phone. that way it is on record.
I also run pretty much legal now. this ain't the '80s.lol
