Hi, I was wondering if you own a good number of trucks do you have to lease every truck to the same company?

no, just need to to do your research on who you lease to,alot of companies dont like you having your ouw authority they think you are just after the contacts.

I'd suggest becoming a power only contractor. That way you get access to a large company network but not be bound by their rules (elogs, etc).

Correct, you pull loads for a company but you have your own operating authority. You use their trailers, some contracts allow you to get your own loads using the other company's trailer. Helpful if they can't get you a reload or a load to a specific destination.

If you have a good number of trucks why not have your own authority? Get your own contracts and make all the money.

    What's a good number? 2? 200? Might make a difference.
