    1) who often changed the truck #s on the hood ?

    2) Had a high turnover rate ?

    3) sometimes got into a conversation with a company " supertrucker " who had the solution to most of the problems in the company ?

    4) you got written up / reprimanded for minor b.s. while other drivers got away with murder

    5) often found yourself being dispatched to crappy accounts because you didn't run as hard as the DM wanted you to ?

feel free to add to the list :biggrin_25525:

    Switched plates on tractors.
Ran 120k on a 5 axle in rush hour traffic,no scales that direction.
No heater in the Winter & no A/C in the Summer. Wait a minute......that's normal.
Go ahead and take those Triples over the hill,it's not Snowing down here.
Safety is our first priority, now go there and run like your hairs on fire.
All the other drivers do it. I've never heard that Lame one before.

The sad thing is that they don't listen to those of us who actually want to help the company run more smoothly and efficiently. Or they listen but fail to take any action.

Add to the list? Ok, how about "allow any idiot to become a trainer, allows trainers to use students as a second logbook, and doesn't keep track of how many students graduate or how well-prepared they are to handle a truck & trailer."?

No terminal manager, I refuse to pull this loaded flatbed trailer to the shop 3 miles away, to get the leaking, broken, glade handles repaired. Why didn't you tell the ###### who didn't post trip it to take it there instead of letting someone load it.. But the load has to go now driver... Yes it does, but the air pressure wont stay above 70 psi with truck running wide open... And air lines laying on the cat walk also.. I I I I I the DRIVER will be fined and assessed csa points you dumb ##### Why don't you get the shop to drive their lazy selfs over here and fix it since they are mobile.. Terminal manager to driver, What do you wan't me to do I AINT NO MECHANIC... No you aren't and your not much of a terminal manager either... TRUE STORY folks..........

Pulled a load out of Texas. Hot load,it absolutely has to be there. Developed a bad vibration on the front of the truck. Stopped at the FlyingJ in Joplin and put on some fuel. Opened the hood and noticed that the tread was separating on my left front steer. Called Breakdown and told them. They told me to go back to the Petro and get a new tire. I go to the Petro, stand in line, get checked in. Apparently, "get a new steer tire" had been changed to "inspect the tire and advise." I dont want the tire inspected, I want another tire put on. But I was a company driver at the time and so I had to do that dumb company driver phone tag crap that all company chumps have to do. Had to wait 2 hours to get into the shop. Pulled into the bay and the tech looked at the tire and said that it was okay. I opened the hood and let him look again. He said, "Hey, your tread is separating!" Wow, a genius! He typed in the computer his remarks.

I went back to the front and had to wait in line again and reminded the girl behind the counter who I was. She called Breakdown and told them what their certified tech told her. Breakdown of course started asking stupid questions, to which she would type in for her tech and he would respond and type back and every time I would have to stand in line again to get her to remember to check on the computer. The questions Breakdown asked went like this:
    1. Do you think the driver could make it to Gary Indiana?
    2. Do you think the tire could pass DOT inspection?
    3. What are your reccommendations?
    4. Could you take a picture of the tire and send it to us?

8 hours. It took 8 hours for the nitwit in Breakdown to make a decision on a steer tire. A STEER TIRE!!!!

I went out and bought my own truck. NO MORE PHONE TAG! Now, if a trailer of theirs develops a problem, I drop it and send a message to Breakdown. No, I will not take that trailer to a repair shop because you people are not paying me for the time it takes for the idiots in Breakdown to make a decision.

What if I grab a preloaded trailer and it has an issue? Either they send someone to fix it where it sits or I come off the load. I have to admit though, Breakdown has gotten lightyears better than what they were when I was a company chump.

I've only driven for 2 employers. One for 3 years and the other for 13 and counting.

    1) No

    2) The only way you can get a job where I'm at is when drivers retire or die.

    3) Every company has this.

    4) My employer is Unionized. If they reprimand you over some minor BS, you file a grievance.

    5) I quit OTR and got a feeder for this reason. I go to the same places every day.
