You just told upward of 4 billion people. True story. Usernames offer very little anonymity. What with IP addresses, ESN's, and so on. Good luck though. |

That is correct, but google does and the Truckers Report does come up. It's in the public domain of the internet now.

I can't believe the number of ignorant people that spout off about laws they really know nothing about. There is no federal law that prohibits firearms in commercial vehicles. If you have a concealed pistol license and the state your in has reciprocity with your state that you have the license from you are LEGAL to carry.

But I wonder if said respect would be more for the potential firearm in possession, rather than for the person who has the potential to be in possession (of a firearm)? Or does it really matter? Does EVERYbody have to carry? I don't think so. Here's why, .......... IF the issuance of carry permits spooks thugs into curtailing their activities ---- at least somewhat ---- for fear they'd run into Dirty Harry and wouldn't feel lucky, could it then be said that issuing carry permits would have accomplished something positive? And without everyone actually carrying. Most likely only a small percentage would actually carry, while everyone would benefit IF their doing so reduced the crime rate, at least somewhat. I think. in lacking for and of brains. Often it's the wannabe gang-banger seeking stature who will cap a dude in the back without much, if any, warning. Could be during a drive-by, and they'd never see it coming................................ PoW! It's not easy defending against that. Even with a carry permit.

Ok I read only the first three pages... I would have to plead the 5th on a gun in the past. Today, I have a steel hook that I carry around the truck for pickups. Made out of 1/2 inch steel solid tube. Otherwise, the big Maglite is my choice. Especially since it says two year safety award on the side of it. One last note: I believe if there was a National Standard for Conceal Carry then we should be able to carry-- an ID like the TWIC.

Hope you don't have to pick up a load at a military base, especially with the recent events. If you do, check your piece into a motel before you go.
