    New some advice.
I purchased my truck in mid july of this year and had a dyno done, blowby was 5. I started having power problems. I took my truck into an authorized International dealer with certified cummins techs. They printed a Navistar report and pulled the fault codes which showed i had 9 high crankcase pressure faults. According to the NaviStar report my truck was 18,0000 miles within the 50,000 mile extended warranty at the time 11/04/13. The dealer told me it could be the crankcase filter. They pulled the filter and it needed to be replaced. They replaced it and invoiced me. They told me if I have anymore problems with it, they would have to do more diagnostics to find the root problem. Well, about 7 or 8 days later the problem was back. During the 7 or 8 days the CEL would come on sometimes and go back off. On my way home the CEL stayed on and then the stop engine warning light came on. I pulled to the side of the road. Shut it down for a few minutes, fired it up and drove the 125 miles home. I got home and called the same International dealer in Rockford IL. (Lakeside International). In my opinion, they are a very good shop. Anyway, I had a dyno done, a ton of blowby, so they tore it down and found scored pistons. National Truck Protection wanted another NaviStar report done, so the shop pulled the info. But now the ECM and the odometer is showing I am about 2000 miles out of warranty. There is no way I could drive 18,000 miles in 7 or 8 days. The ECM mileage is about 1000 miles more than the odometer. National Truck Protection said it was out of warranty and they were not going to honor the warranty. I told them that it was within warranty when the problem first started. They said, tough luck you should have called when it first happened. No where in the contract does it state that I must call when I get a fault code. I spent my own money to have it tore down to diagnose the real problem. It is going to cost about $18,000 for the repair.

    Experienced input would be great..

That sucks, hope you can get some much needed advice here. Can't be too good of a shop if they don't honor the full warranty.Dealers sure do find loopholes to not fix the problem.

It isn't the shops warranty. They are doing the work for me. It is NTP I am having problems with. The shop is a very good one.

I don't understand the descrepency with the odometer. That doesn't make sense. Does your invoice from having the filter replaced have the odometer reading on it? What does your odometer say now? You should know (pretty closely) how many actual miles you've driven between having the filter changed and now. If the odometer is not working correctly you may need to use fuel receipts to prove that it's malfunctioning and you're probobly gonna have to get a lawyer involved. I'm not personally familiar with this outfit your warranty is thru, but 3rd party warranty services are notorious for finding excuses to not pay up.

I had a warranty thru them with a previous trk they wheeseled out of it when a turbo went bad. They wanted maintenance records so i sent the records via e mail. They said where are the oil change records i said see the receipt for the 50 gallon drum of oil and 2 cases of filters?. I do oil changes and services myself along with most things. They said" how do we know you changed the oil when required". Like i bought all the stuff to look pretty in the shop. Long story short i had to get a lawyer and still fighting them 2 years later.

Personally these scammers almost always get out of paying up when it's time. I don't get it. You shell out 3-5k just to hear oops. There's gotta be another way. I had the same situation and they told me after 8 months I wasn't allowed to do the oil change. I had to pay a certain shop to do my oil changes.
