I'm about to fininsh Sage CDL school. While completeing job applications, I see every company requires at least 5 years since a DWI conviction and that's my problem. My conviction date is about 4 1/2 years ago. Does anyone know of a company hiring in Texas that will accept me or give me a non-driving job for a few months?? I need to get started while my training is considered current.

Had one knock on my door in AZ truckstop once. Told her I wasn't interested and that I was a happily married man. I am single and keep a gold band handy in truck stops for this reason in my pocket. It worked! She left and never came back. My girl back home was proud of me. Try it if you get harrassed by lot lizards. Also a "no lot lizards" sticker on truck works too!

Wad up some paper towels and throw them out the window works too. They will think one of them has already been there

A additonal problem besides your Willy falling off from viral infection is the likleyhood the Puta is turning tricks to stay high. Whether FiveO raids your truck or the lady of the night is drunk or high, there's a strong possibility she'll drop dope on the floor. Whose tail goes to jail for drugs in a DOT regulated vehicle then?
Last I heard, nobody ever infected themselves and porn is readily available.
As my brother in law explained" He sure became a better husband after he learned about the HIV virus!"

Response; Right now i'm going through a pdti and in regard to the lot (desaese ridden, jiz catchers)..........Why are you guys's even wasting your time talking to them at all? why roll your window down? hell just open your door and not the F*&^%%$ parasite off the truck! I have'nt started driving yet but #### it does'nt seem worth the Dangers it presents to your life or career.:biggrin_25513:

Thought: So next time you let one in and "have fun with her or him" the next truck stop your at you might as well sit down and french kiss the burley trucker next to you and give him a big hug because you just licked and kissed everywhere he just left ............................hahahahhaa

In my short time on the road I never had one knock on my door either, but I have seen them coming and going at the truckstops, truck to truck, truck to restaurant.
You have to remember its a different world, the bugs have evolved and there is no antibiotic for some the stuff you can catch. I've heard their friends can be pretty rough so keep your door locked and don't sleep with your face by the vent.

Well, long story short I recieved my Class A endors: TX in San Diego CA in Sept. of 2009 and moved away for a job that actually fell through and am now looking to get a OTR job. I'm back in San Diego and now expecting my first child and a little bit worried about OTR trucking after researching a lot of companies. I seriously can't believe all the horror stories I'm reading. After looking into a lot of companies I'm going after Watkins Shepard and Stevens Transport. Please if anyone out there has some real concrete advice for me I would appreciate anything and everything you have to say.

I'm looking for the highest pay per mile as of course everyone is. Is it worth it to run teams? I really don't want to be out any longer than 3 weeks at the most, is this possible with a good company?

    Thank you
    PM
