Wow. That was dramatic. It actually caught the shattering ice chunks. Thanks for the demo. I appreciate it.

Most cameras involve taking the memory card out and connecting to a computer. With Blackvue, I can can view and wirelessly transfer whatever videos I choose to my phone. From there, I can email them or even upload to YouTube.

If you want a camera mounted outside the truck, then a product like GoPro that is weather resistant may be needed. Those type cameras are very expensive and have less options to control them while driving.....more of a continuous record. There are many options for smaller cameras if you want something to look out the side windows.

The view a Blackvue will give you if mounted inside the truck versus mounted on the windshield would vary depending on the model truck you have. You would need to reposition the camera to give you the desired view.

MA'AM!!! Do not EVER again apologize for questions and NO question is dumb!!! Only dumb question is the one that didn't get asked. This is a unique industry and one in which common sense is not much help. LOL.

Always hated the term "dumb". It has been my experience that it has usually been applied to very nice people that were learning about something new and felt what we all feel when we are learning: lost and afraid. Big difference than dumb.

Smile, keep your chin up, but not jaw out. Listen with ears and heart of understanding; not necessarily the sound of the moment.

You and your affectionate other will do VERY well. Believe in yourselves and each other. It will be hard on you both, but I feel it will be good for both.

Couldn't agree more but I have to be honest I have been thinking of getting one because of the way the industry is changing and now you need proof to show that someone is lying. And I am speaking of others drivers as well...there is a new trend of driving side by side for miles I don't know who is teaching this... mile after mile staying right next to another driver... something happening out there...

I think with the legal atmosphere the way it is a dash cam is a necessity. Case and point about a month ago my brother was stopped at a red light behind another truck. The light turned green and the lead truck began to accelerate forward his trailer on the other hand accelerated backward and hit my brother's truck. He didn't have a dashcam, and was blamed (both by the cops and his company) for rearending him despite several pictures showing his trailer on the ground (which the other driver quickly rehooked causing further damage). He is still fighting both and may have to try legal action to get the accident off his record. He's now got a cam.

It's not a matter of teaching it's the companies governing their trucks, if company A is governed at 65 and Company B is governed at 62 how long will it take company a to pass company b? If company b's driver wants to be a jerk as much as 3-5 miles....

I hear you, but honestly if $150 bucks can save me months if not years of courtroom battles I'll take it, we might not need progress but it can certainly give us more time doing what we love when used correctly.
