When Im done delivering in Charlotte I use a spot I found nearby thats quiet, safe, and doesnt have much traffic. Well, last night after delivering @ 0100 (unloaded by 0400), I got to said spot and it was #### near full! Now, Ive used this spot for years, and dont mind sharing. But I cant help but wonder how long it'll be until we're kicked out due to drivers leaving behind their trash, yella jugs,, and bags w/ a surprise in them. Its a nice and important hidey spot for me. So, short of setting up surveillance in the area, how can I keep it from turning into just another nasty and disgusting spot? And if ya you even hint at walking arund w/ a pooper scooper in the a.m., Im gonna write the spot off!

Only option is to clean it up when you are there but you already said you wouldn't do that. How many of you guys complaining about other pigs go so far as to move some trash from the ground to a trash can. If only 25% of us did it there would be a lot less trash where we park

Ive actually done this at a Walmart that encouraged and was designed for truck parking. While I was dragging the trash can around a Crete driver proceeded to throw his lunch trash on the ground and grab gears out.
I am one - they are many.

If it happens again, get Truck/Trailer numbers and call their company.

And the other 75% continue throwing trash on the ground, but now with the expectation that the remaining 25% pick up the slack for them? I just don't see that as a solution in any form. I hate to say it, but maybe we just need more businesses to refuse truck parking. If this industry is overrun with filth pigs, and we're unable to stop them from acting that way, then that's just punishment due. Let them feel the consequences of their actions, let those who don't partake in those actions likewise feel the consequences. Then maybe we'll find the will to police our own, rather than ignoring it or trying to play mother and picking up after them (just for them to do it again and again and again).

Since the subject came up about pigs, I need to vent. I work for a private carrier, a manufacturer with plants all over the Midwest, the other day I came in and took my bills to the shipping office at the plant that I am out of, on the desk were two big signs that read "NO PUBLIC RESTROOM Please Don't Ask", I asked the supervisor what that was all about and got a firm answer that this is something that we need to do.

After the discussion took a turn towards being heated, (with me telling them how much disdain I have always had to really bust it to take care of the shipper and consignee only to arrive and be greeted by such a sign), I was informed that a "Truck Driver" wiped feces all over the restroom walls. With the security camera tapes they have narrowed it down to three drivers. Now, they not only don't want drivers using the restroom, they don't even want them in the plant.... When he told me this I was immediately disarmed without words to reply.... I honestly don't know what to think, let alone say...

Have we come this far, where we can't park here or there, can't use the restroom here or there, because of pigs? What is going to be the end of this? In all my years I would have never thought that we would have come this far. I just can't believe what has happened to our industry.

I bet it was a driver that was held there for 15+ hrs. Wonder what they did to push someone that far? not defending it just saying.
