Denver has a lot of driving jobs some pay good others don't, a lot of traffic and the cost of living is not that bad depending on what area.

Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Smog is bad, traffic is worse.

People here like to act as if Colorado is the only state to have ever seen snow, get used to smelling weed... even before Amendment 64, it was a pretty recurring thing. Denver has a good job market. I think about the times I'd put in 30 or 40 job applications in Colorado Springs to maybe get one or two calls, versus having four job offers after one day of job hunting in the Denver area. I I manage to live better for a bit less living outside of Denver... Colorado Springs was much cheaper, rent-wise, but that comes with its caveats. So you'd probably right off the bat want to consider someplace outside of Denver proper... not a great area for open deck freight, but lots of refrigerated carriers have hubs here.
What part of North Carolina are you moving from? I moved here from Garner in 2010.

Jacksonville is where I'm coming from. I don't like it here and have only been here for a year. My kids and I spent the last 20 plus years in Maryland. I think it looks pretty out there and I'm ready for a change. My son is coming with me and he is 17. I'm looking for rider policy and local or regional cause he does his schooling on line. I'm surely not coming out there for the weed. I'm thinking about retirement in about 20 years and wanna make more money. I'm still job searchingbut and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
