My company is buying a new terminal and will be putting in a drivers lounge for our out of state over the road drivers. Can anyone offer any suggestions on what it should consist of? I know the obvious would be clean showers...any other ideas or thoughts??? All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Free wi fi with a desk/table for a computer and of course a chair.
If theres a tv, comfortable chairs. I've been in a few "lounges" where the chairs were straight backed (think old wooden dining room chairs) and even what looked like recycled wooden church pews.
    washers/dryers
    microwaves
deep kitchen sink ( some guys actually wash dishes)
    ice machine

I prefer terminals and service centers with individual reclining chairs. You will never see 3 truckers on a 3 person couch...we like personal space. A big tv is nice. Microvave, sink, fridge, vending machines with sandwiches. Lots of outlets. FREE WIFI (most important on this list) Menues of take out that delivers nearby. Showers with commodes and laundry. (we like private comodes)

Biggest deal is get the place cleaned even if you need to hire someone....especially the bathrooms. Some drivers are gross and the rest of us dont want to deal with that. (fireing the real smelly, havnt taken a shower in 2 weeks drivers may improve your driver lounge lol)

O yea, a fax machine. We always need document from home to sign. Idealy a cheapo computer with a printer.

They always seem to get trashed and filthy, but -

Men's and women's showers, at least 2 of each.
Laundry - 3 sets of machines
Quiet room with loungers - sound proofed (naps)
    TV - with cable.
    Kitchen or kitchenette type facility.
Full time cleaning lady, 23-27, scantily clad with limited English skills, 5'3", and single.

I'd almost forgot, yes - thanks.

The cleaning lady is on the stair climber when not busy cleaning.
