Any body have been to Colorado Convention Center?

Hopefully they've given you a phone number to schedule an arrival time/location and where the staging area is.

And you can try Google Maps, Street Level view and literally "drive around" the complex but that may not shed light on where the staging area is.

 

The guard shack entrance is off of Champa st. If you do an overhead view on google maps, it's the west corner. Champa is a one way street going south west.

When end I was there a few years ago, I checked with the guard. Just park on the street in the far left lane and throw the flashers on. If that's the entrance he tells you to go in, you will go up a twisting ramp and have to go all the way to the end and circle around a big pillar. There's enough room for a 53 and a sleeper trucker, but not a lot of it. If you have to go to the other side, you will take a left onto N Speer blvd then a left on Colfax ave, then your first left onto Welton st. Stay to the right. You will need to make a big swinging left turn into the entrance. It's a little tight on the east side. Go slow and watch the traffic.

 

Yeah, I've been there... never really understood what the deal was with the big blue bear leaning on the building, but it's kinda mild compared to some of the weird #### they've got going on in Colorado (such as the horse with the demon eyes and flaming rectum outside of DIA, which killed its designer when its head fell off).
Second what you've been told already... shack's off Champa street, and that is a one-way street. Never had to take a semi there, so I'll leave it to those who have to tell you better how to deal with that.
I would definitely not echo the "go around" recommendation.

 

If you're ever coming out of DIA onto Pena Blvd, you'll see it. Dusk is probably the best time. And yes, the horse's #### is very much lit up with red lights on that statue.
