The Walmart at the Yarbrough exit here in El Paso (Store #512) has a dedicated diagonal truck parking area on the west side of the store.

It's not the easiest store to get to so I thought I'd lend a hand.

For westbound I suggest getting off at Exit 30 (Lee Trevino/Lomaland) and running Gateway West (our term for frontage road) to the Walmart. Yarbrough is at Exit 28B but to get to the truck entrance you'd have to cross 2 lanes of traffic really quickly. Safer and easier to take the Lee Trevino/Lomaland exit.

For Eastbound, exit at Exit 29 (Lomaland) and make a u turn onto Gateway West. Then when you leave, turn onto Gateway West, u turn at Yarbrough and back onto I-10 East.

That Walmart makes fresh tortillas in the store. It's more "Mexican" themed than the rest of the stores to compete with Pros Ranch Markets.

I nearly stopped there the other day on my first trip ever to EP...but I got deadheaded to Nogales for a load to UT...got to stop in Tucson on the way up to see a friend facing possibly ovarian cancer.

It's not uncommon for people to sell tamales in the parking lot.

They probably do sell them in the store too.

I was wondering if there was truck parking there but didn't try and find out. Just kept on going and stopped at the Wal-Mart in Fort Stockton.

I think a lot of drivers don't bother because it's location makes it appear tight. It's nestled in between two strip centers. You can't see the truck parking until you're already in the parking lot.

I can't believe any of you are even thinking of going there. You know the members who "disappear" for TTR? That's where PackRat gets the bodies from..... Rolls up truckers in those fresh tortillas.....
