What kind of freight? What kind of miles? If it's open deck.....no. Percentage only.
-
One Word Answer, YES. You can get medical yourself, same as setting up a ROTH IRA for retirement. The rest depends on the company.

Small company usually means paper logs and maybe some fast and loose freight lanes.
Everybody gets a "Log it Legal" t-shirt.
Check the CSA scores. -
you would want to be careful about your pay,if the owners wife or family member are doing the payroll you run the risk of your paycheck being a little short. family members will tend to error on your side of the check if they are not sure what you should be paid. not saying that always happens, but it can. be safe out there

That depends. I talked to a guy from Montana who has trucks. The one thing he told me. Trucks run 65, but I want you to log it 2 miles under the posted speed limit. I'm like, ok, so 63? He says no. If it's 80, log at 78. I hung up the phone. I don't run like that anymore.

Sounds like they have good equipment so that's a plus. But I would check out their safety score before making any kind of decision.

For clarification, the owner would be me. I'm looking to start one truck operation thru Roadrunner next Spring.
