The lady who goes over our logs called me that I had a violation by not taking a reset and running the recap. I argued with her about it then asked to be transfered to Miguel, my dispatcher. After telling him I did nothing illegal, I informed him that my mom passed this morning and I didn't need this ####.

Against my better judgment I hauled ### to the terminal to argue my case. By then the logs lady had been informed of my situation. I came in log book in hand. I did raise my voice a bit demanding that I be shown where I violated the law. Kyle, the fuel guy was telling me that I shouldn't be arguing it under the circumstances and to go home. I got her to admit that I didn't violate the law.

I then went into the dispatch office and I showed Miguel what I had done and how I wasn't in the wrong. I asked if there was some policy that requires us to reset? Carlos said he'd look into it for me and said to go home, he could tell I was as tense as hell.

I agreed and got into my car. I started to sob. Kyle ran out and said he understands I had a huge loss, they all did, and I needed to just take time to grieve before I tried to handle work business. He shook my hand and gave me his condolences.

I sent Miguel a text apologizing. He said it was cool, they all know I was under a ton of stress and grief and they knew my actions were totally abnormal.

PackRat I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. Sometimes getting that emotion out is the best thing because holding it in and exploding later is even worse. Take care of yourself and I'll be looking forward to your humor when you return. Take care my freind. My thoughts are totally with you at this trying time.
