I stopped at the Petro at exit 160 on 85 in Georgia due to my parking brake light coming on during driving. This in turned caused the stop light and warning buzzer go off.
Checked into the shop and prepared for a long wait. On a hunch I searched the forums and learned the likely suspect was the parking brake sensor under the dash and the quick fix would be unplugging the sensor until I got home. The only drawback is that the daytime running lights would stay on when parked.
Gave it a shot and it worked! Told the shop to cancel my work order.
Thanks.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would have had minimum 4 hr wait 2 hrs in shop and can't even second guess how much the bill would have been.

Here's a point to ponder. Would having that sensor unplugged be considered a violation?
-
Not unless you tell 'em.
SHO-TYME Thanks this. -
