Hi everyone,
My husband's ambition has always been to drive a truck.. He passed his knowledge test and has completed his airbrake tests as well. However he has failed his road test thrice and I am awfully concerned. We live in Winnipeg and there is no cap on the number of times he can take his road test. I just don't know if is normal for folks to fail the test so many times..
He is so depressed and we are all going through a low.. Any advice is welcome..
Thank you so much..
My husband failed his road test thrice and I am worried

Best advice I can give is for him to use the same or similar type of truck and put in the time behind the wheel. What part of the road test did he fail
Sharmi2k Thanks this. -
No, not normal, sorry. More driving time, school maybe. It does take some getting used to.
Sharmi2k Thanks this. -
It's normal. Practice some more.
Sharmi2k Thanks this. -
Thank you for your quick response.. just feeling a little lost at the moment.. hoping he passes next time around. He has been trying very hard

He seems to have had a 'roll' at a 'yield ' sign .. and another time scraped a kerb.. He used to struggle with his downshift but has worked that out..

Tell him to get out there and drive. No exp like hands on
Sharmi2k Thanks this. -
He roll though a yield sign? ....is his instructor the same person every time?
Big Don Thanks this. -
Our company had recruit fail 6 times. He now had his license for 6 years and is one of the better drivers in the fleet with no accidents or cargo claims. Turned out to be a problem with the person giving the exam, you see, he once applied at the company I drive for and was not hired. Bad case of revenge against a person he did not even know. This person is no longer giving behind the wheel road test.
JAL1972, Sharmi2k, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this. -
Will tell him that .. thank you. His training ends tomorrow.. hoping he gets a truck to drive and practise after that. Not sure yet what the arrangement will be..
Thank you so much though.
