I just moved to TEXAS and need to transfer my cdl. Do I need a new medical card? The one
that I have now does not expire till Nov 2015.

Not in all cases, but you still have to make sure you take or fax/email the med card to the license branch/DMV. You will need to sign and fax the affidavit to them also.

wouldn't think ya would. just when your at the dmv getting the license changed fill out the self cert form and they'll take care of it there, no need to fax or email anything.

When you go to the DPS office to transfer your CDL, bring your medical card and your copy of the long form too if you can.

No. The local drivers license office will have you fill out your self certification letter. (bring ur medical card) -
Most licensing is done at the local Department of Public Safety office.
Registration and title transfers are done at the county tax assessors office.
They combined some aspects of both into a "DMV" but not all. -
