i am a new driver and had a rollover after 9 mnths driving. i also got a citation for failure to control speed. what would be your advice for me to try to continue my trucking career. i have been working on hotmix/dirt haul for an owner op but there is so little work right now that i need a better job. not to mention that he makes me work days and nights so i only get 2-3 hours of sleep at a time and drive the other 20. thank you

Honestly it's going to be real hard for you to find a job. CSA may prevent you because rollovers are a MAJOR accident.

I doubt anyone will be able to give you a specific company. It will be hard but you know that already. The key is going to be quantity of apps put in. You are bound to get a bite somewhere. You are not to far from both Houston and DFW both are trucking hot spots so I bet your odds are pretty good.

No joke, you could be an Uber driver for a while. I take uber all the time and I talk to those drivers, not terrible money. I think they clear 800 to 1000 a week. I know it's not trucking but it's something.

thanks to everyone i will just have to keep on keeping on and putting in as many apps as i can

I disagree with putting a lot of apps around. Your app will get shop worn fast. Rather, find an LTL outfit with an opening on the dock (most have them), offer to spot and do local PU/D fill-in when they come up. You'll show up as a trucking company employee while you 'grow out' and away from this accident.

Nobody makes you do anything...
The internet is your tool. Use it, do research and apply for jobs. You won't get a direct answer here.
