Using your truckstop points for christmas.

That is sure to bring some smiles to a lot of people.

 

I eat too much to save up my points. My points usually turn into poop before christmas. Oh well.

 

along with stockings we have the junk dad bought at the TS box under the tree
that is a grab bag for all to dive into

late christmas night with too much eggnog the 21 year old wanders the halls in reflective vests
orange gloves with a head band light turned to red
thinking he is the ghost of christmas past
such is the tradition

 

With the rate the loves throws points at people. Xmus should be good.

 

Good deal, glad for you. About 20 years ago, I did a similiar thing. Accumulated piles and piles of points playing poker on the machines in a game room at a truck stop I used regularly. Christmas time I used them to shop in the truck stop for my new girl friend ( now my wife ). Got her a nice poncho, brief case, and something else. All went well until she was riding with me about a month later, and we stopped at that truck stop. As we walked through the gift shop, she commented the poncho on display was just like the one I had given her for Christmas. I agreed, and told her I had gotten it there, using game points. She came un-glued quickly.Really boiled over on me. All I heard that trip was how bad that was for me to do. I did not see anything wrong with it, but she sure did.
Now, after 20 years of a good marriage, she still brings it up from time to time. About a week ago, told her I was going Christmas shopping, she told ne to stay out of the truck stops, with a smile on her face.
Never did see her wear that poncho, the briefcase is still in the closet. We men just think a little differently than women.

 

Lol we have a better understanding of the universe milions of light years wide than we do of women's minds.

 

Although I never have much points on my card, but I drove for years before getting my first reward card, but when I finally did get one, I never thought about using the points, until the girl behind the register asked me if I wanted to use points to pay for a movie I was getting, I asked her how much was on there? she smiled and said you have almost $1200.00, I about passed out, I never knew you could get that much, Now almost every time I get anything out of a T/S, coffee? subway? or what ever, I swipe the card and use the points

 

I use the 12V coolers and have only paid full price once, 10yrs ago.
