MOVING TO FLORIDA lake city near i-10 and i-75. Anyone hiring?

    Hi guys, my husband and i are planning to move to florida from Pa. I am a nurse and i had an offer to work in florida. my husband has to relocate but i don't think his company has any openings down in FL. We are moving north of Fl near I-10 and 75. Any US mail hauling company in Florida Or a Dedicated home everyday hauling job. Thanks.

    Gainesville or jacksonville area is where i'll be working but he wanted to live an hour away from the big city.. We will try to look on that company chinatown thanks.

    As a fuel hauler in Jacksonville, I would recommend to stay away from Florida rock, they are the "Cr England" of local work in Jax as some put it. I have yet to meet many of their drivers who are happy. Just a thought.

    CTL Transportation and CCC Transportation have local work around Jacksonville, but the pay is low.

    Loves Travel Stops & Country Store - Jacksonville, FL 32218 (Oceanway area) tanker driver
    Estes Express Lines
    Wilson Trucking Corp.
    Saia LTL Freight
    Eagle Transport

    There's some pretty good places to live just North of Jacksonville off I-95.
    Look at the map, then check Redfin.com and city-data.com for more information on the communities up in that area. That would be a little far though if you work in Gainesville.

    Lived there for four years. Teamed out of Lake City Target reefer DC and the Walmart DC out on I10.

    I know of hauling work there. Florida Rock and Tank (bed rep) as the guys above have said. The Walmart DC is always hiring. As is USX and Swift hauling reefer for Target. All of those jobs are less than an hour away. And some actually pay okay. Problem being none of them is a home every night kinda job. Is there work? Sure. Is there pie-in-the-sky, home-every-night, super fantastic work? No.
