    Hello!

    Which way to choose?

I know about Black Rock AR bridge 33 tons limit, new is not finished yet(???),
remember others bridges limited over there (anybody knows what are they posted?)
detour thru Pocahontas adds 9 miles.
So total 645 miles (thru Birmingham and Memphis)

    OR

go up north to I-75, I-24,Paducah KY to Cairo IL (IL to MO bridge closed so have to take I-57 to US-60)
    Total 676 miles.

    I'm no rush, delivery Monday.
    Thanks!

The routing thru Pocahontas westbound has the bridge at 34t
If you are going eastbound I think you go over a newer bridge and it is not restricted
I took this westbound last year and I did not see any warning prior to seeing the posted restriction
Once you see the 34t sign it is too late
I crossed the bridge as 2 sheriff cars were going east bound, just about crapped my pants thinking I was going to get pinged for overweight
But then I realized they would be choosing from me or about 6 other trucks that were crossing too
But they never stopped, guess they had other things to do

    mp4694330 Thanks this.

I would go with the first route. I think you'd make better time.

The new bridge isn't open to my knowledge, but I avoid it like the plague cause I'm usually heavy. The worse part of that trip is the dang scales at Cabool. Either way you gonna cross them. I think even with the Pocahontas detour that way is easier safer traveling than going the north way. Does have a few real good pulls in it. Also there is some road construction up at the line they are widening the road coming into mammoth springs. It hasn't really got took off yet and shouldn't hinder you too bad.

I live in the general area and run 63 quite often. Do NOT cross the weight limited bridge at Black Rock. I have seen dot giving tickets there. Go the detour through Pocahontas.

There are several smaller bridges on 63 highway with similar weight limits between Black Rock and the Missouri line but the one at Black Rock is the only one I have seen them enforcing.

Highway 63 and highway 67 are both major truck routes in this area with a lot of truck traffic. Many I am sure are grossing around 80,000#.
