I got a great deal on 2013 660 Kenworth and want to lease it on to someone like Mercer or Landstar but I don't have the required 1 yr minimum experience. Paid cash for truck and have gotten my ein number and business checking accounts which I've funded for maintenance and expenses. Picking up the truck on weds and will bobtail it home.

In first 8 months driving otr, no delivery failures and passed all dot inspections 100%. No incidents/accidents/duis/speeding or any other tickets on my mvr.

I have twic and passport as well as hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements

Is there any good flatbed companies that will take my truck and I on with only 8months experience or will I need to park the truck and finish out a year as a company driver?

    Thanks

Less than one year can be a problem.

Check if Fikes Truck Line or Waggoners Trucking Co. can help.

Less than a year of experience is a tough one to overcome. Most insurance companies require two years in the last three before they will allow you to be added to their policies. You might try someone like Schneider, they are self insured and may be willing to give you a shot. Good luck to you!

why mention you have less than a year? now it's on here & a matter off public record. some would of just stretched the truth on the 8 months & put down 1 year. good luck.

you might get away with that with a smaller company. but the bigger ones. will see how much experience you have. by looking at your mvr and dac. and work history to which they verify.

I wouldn't want them lying to me so won't start of with a lie to work for them. Heaven forbid I had an accident and it comes out there I had just received my CDL August 2014.... Well.. I can imagine the lawyers would have a field day with me stretching the truth.

Ok, so buying the truck first was backwards. I respect your opinion on that. Have you got any suggestions where to put it? I'll be on the phone today making calls with carriers.

Thanks to those who've posted suggestions.

    On the list to contact.

Panther Premium (6 months exp works for their owner operators)
    Lawrence Transportation
    Schneider
    WTI Flatbed
    Waggoneers
    Mercer

Some of these need a year, but doesn't hurt to open the door of communications. Any insight to any of these or other ideas where to put it?
