Need Advice....

I am a newbie driver and have only been otr for 3 months...was working for a company and I enjoyed the driving but didn't like driving teams...I need more experience than 3 months. My question is.....am I going to have to return to team driving or can I go solo with a company? I need all the advice can get from veteran drivers.....have a good and safe day!

Mike was driving solo with two months experience. It really depends on your skills as a driver and the company.

There are a lot of companies that should take you. The biggest drawback might be if you were under contract for company provided training. I mention this because it has been said that some companies will report to your DAC if you do not fulfill that contract. Also one company I know of will deny you ever worked for them at all. Keep your log books, and pay stubs to verify your experience with any potential employers.

If they did not mess up your DAC you should be able to find a solo job pretty easily.

Good luck!

Make a few phone calls to companies that recruit in your area. Many will be glad to offer you a solo position and with 3 months verifiable experience you should be offered around 30 cpm or so. Of course it varies from company to company so call as many as you can find and go with the 1 that best suits your needs (and pays the best of course).

Thank You...

I appreciate every answer and I will apply and I will let everyone know what happens....I don't know what we "Newbies" would do without the help of veteran drivers....you are a Godsend!
