I was pulled in for a random test just last friday I take prescription meds daily and cant live with out my goodys powders for my headaches. MY BAC was 0.00 and my Drug Screen came back neg. Like I said test was done Friday morn and my company had the results back Monday morn. As long as you dont use illegal drugs you should have no worries.

You should always have any prescription meds with you the show the tester. These will be noted on your form. I take a lot of ibuprofen (4 # 200mg every 4 hrs or so) and naproxen for my back, I always list these and the amount that I take daily. I've never failed a drug screening random or otherwise. Mu husband had been on prescription pain meds including fentanyl patches (100mg) for 2 months after a surgery. We removed his last fentanyl patch and he took two Loritab just prior to having a drug screen to go back to work. All this was listed on his paperwork and he passed his drug screen although the company did "remind" him that he couldn't take these meds while he was driving. He could however still take the Loritab as long as it was at the beginning of his break and he had 8 hours to sleep it off.

I read so many posts, it's hard to say what's right.

If you take prescribed meds take'em & show'em to the tester. For sinus problems stay away from meds with psuedoephedrine or ephedrine & you should be ok. You also should be careful of some energy drinks as they can also give a false positive reading.

But its still a pain in the hind end.
Ive been told anything you are prescrived have your M.D. aware you do drive and he will only prescrive things that allow you to operate heavey equipment.
