1 preventable bad?

Why is so hard for me to find another job. I only have one incident/preventable parkin lot a scratch no longer than a few inches( literally about a finger length long}No ticket no points no real damage to any equip. B***h ##### driver helped me back up I say thank you and he says you know you hit my truck. since it was not a chargeable I was not really worried about it but it seeing its preventing me from getting another driving job. Saw my dac yesterday and thats the only thing on there(no dot points or nuthin) so why does it seem like I'm a saftey risk after drivin over 159,260 otr miles. if I known all this was gonna happen from a scratch I probably would have punched him. the whole deal seemed shady to me. the cop didnt even get out the car and looked at the other dude like ya gotta be kidding u called me for this?

Who reported it to your DAC? How'd it get there? He called the police?

If it was really such a small thing, you should enter a comment on your DAC detailing how tiny it was. Any preventable is a big deal to an insurance company, unfortunately.

Probably because the other driver needed a new paint job.

Waiting 5 days is another week I'm out of work to wait on my dac report just to dispute it.

they fired you over that? You have what, a year otr? one accident? that still meets most companies hireing requirements. Or was there more to your getting fired? these companies will think Like I am right now which is to think that one preventable shouldn't get ya fired so what else don't we know.

I'll tell you though. right now I have been seeing what I havn't seen in forever in the truckng industry. Companies don't seem to be hiring much and there is so many newbies out there that they can be picky

I could be wrong. With things slowing down in this country. The trucking companies can be more selective in who they hire.

Like others have stated,I can't see one minor accident affecting your qualifications to drive for another company.I myself have had accident's,some preventable and some not.Companies look at other things in the hiring process also.Health issues, credit check's,employment history and your DMV record.Check into all these things and correct any misinformation on record.By law, you can dispute any incorrect entry on your record. When I started in 1980 we didn't have all this nonsense.I don't like it,but I have learned to live with it.You will find another job.Have patience. It's like being stuck on a major roadway at rush hour, have patience. Also not all companies subscribe to USIS or DAC ,as many call it.Some issues may have to be resolved by contacting each agency.Trucking used to be just trucking, now you need a PHD and a team of lawyers.Good luck and hope this helps.

I'm not kidding at all. I did get pulled out of being stuck avoiding a low bridge which did not go on my dac but on their internal point system they even wanted that to be a chargeable.(no damage) just so happens the tow guy backed up my story that the sign was not till u make the turn.and trucks turn around all the time where I was tryin to just ground to muddy.
Anyways, I Finally have another job, they asked questions about what happened called last company to back up what I said and ran dac and saw everything was on the up and up. It seems that more co. are just lookin for a reason. one company didn't even look twice at dac just saw I got let go and said no.
