She's probably found it by now. It's been two and half years.

Just raggin on you! I have mistakenly done this myself on more than one occasion.

I drove a Pete '87 for nearly a year. There are 3 fuse areas. One is the lights and dash stuff under the driver side next to the clutch. the other is behind the glove box. unhook the restraints and it there. the other is on the pass. side under the hood. when you open the hood look at the firewall and it will be just above the turbo next to the air intake tube. (the big monster tube) hope that helps

I cannot find the dash outlet fuse in my 387 either. I will try inside the passenger side bunk door tonight as recommended above. It's not behind the glove or under the hood. Having to use the rear outlets is killing me... it's getting to be a PITA to find a suitable place to pull over so I can stop, go to the bunk, and change my satellite radio channel.

Did you ever think that when you saw that big ole PETERBILT sign in the sky to maybe pull over and walk in and ask at the service desk OR call them on their 800 number?

    OR

Now to come off as an arse like I can be!!

A simple google search with these words found this page.
The words were "peterbuilt 387 manual"
I thought these younger people were internet savvy over us old guys! LOL

    go here

    http://www.peterbilt.com/uploaded/manual/Peterbilt%20Model%20387%20Operators%20Manual%20prior%20to%2012-06_low.pdf

then page 153 and guess what?

Yep it's in the engine compartment somewhere!
I'm not telling! I'm an arse!

I'll even bet it has Fuse Panel stamped on it around the clamps holding it shut or on the front!

I would think that after day one in a truck or actually before even driving it as a rookie a new driver would locate the owners manual or if the idiot before you threw a much needed asset of the truck away you would look all over that truck and look at every part of it!

Every Rookie and experienced driver out there should do this before even putting the key in the darn thing!

Start from the wiper blades to check them and to see how they are attached down into the engine compartment looking and tugging on all the parts to see how tight belts are wiring and where that wiring goes, the washer bottle if it's in there and not hiding somewhere to the fluids containers to radiator, power steering and even an airline antifreeze system.

After looking at everything in the engine compartment, then look all over the back of the cab, under the truck to see where air tanks and the drains to them are, where the air dryer is, at the tanks to see first how many gallons it holds then inside to see how full it is. Hint; NEVER trust fuel gauges until you have visually verified that the full mark is just that full and 1/2 is the same! Look at the back of the cab open the battery box for that visual inspection and then the rear end then do the inside of the cab check and I don't mean sit in the seat and get a big head because it says "Big Truck" on the dash! Open every compartment in the cab and sleeper. flip every switch and even open the ash tray and look in there!

But the first thing you should look for is the owners manual!

If not in there and I'll NEVER understand why a moron will throw one away is go into the shop and see if the shop takes them out. Again I'll ask WHY remove the most needed thing a driver needs in the truck except for the log book and map! Only idiots and morons remove the owners manual from that large piece of equipment!

Anyway even if you're an experienced driver completely inspect a "new" truck before even considering driving it further than the shop!

Thank you roll over for writing that long sort of insulting yet eloquent post to something over 2 years old lmao.

I don't even work for Werner, drive any pete, or remember why I needed to find the fusebox anymore.

I figured as much and you should know by now that me being disabled and can't or won't drive in my condition I have an awful lot of time on my hand and yes being insulting in an instructive way does help to pass the time!

BTW who ARE you with now?

OH I wasn't the one to resurrect this thing! 01cBlue did! I'm innocent! ROFLMAO!
