not in the liquid form. thats what the big tankers are carrying. i work for US airgas in CT. for a few yrs. we had little tube trailers for the gas. they we very short and kinda heavy for their size.

Great question Gas Hauler.

You'd think it would have to be lighter since those two elements are lighter than oxygen.

I can just see that tanker pulling onto a DOT scale and the tandems lift off the ground an inch or two momentarily and the officer runs out and says "tether that load, you're overloaded."

ROTFLMAO, that's what I was thinking. The inspector writing up a too light axle weight. Or them just beating the he!! out of their equipment saying this couldn't be right!

Did you see the "Mythbusters" episode on the Discovery channel where they filled a football with helium to see if they could kick it further? Good stuff.

Or the DOT officer with the lit cigar coming out " Alright son, open it up and let's have a look."

You guys are just too dang funny! "tether that load " that is freaking priceless!

Air is about 15 times heavier than hydrogen, so once ya pressurize hydrogen to about 220 PSI (15 times atmospheric pressure) it is then heavier than air. Bout half that for helium.

I'll have remember next time I'm too heavy to fill all my cars with helium ballons. Probably get wrote up for failure to placard!

Tether that load! LOL
