What is your guys best advice to use for going through and arround the chicago area. Gonna be on a midwest regional run and I will be spending alot of time in Chicago unfortunately. But just wondering if they have a specific trucker map with local chicago roads on it, or if I should just get a city map and use it along with my road atlas and gps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen them online as well. You can find one if you look. Call your safety dept. alot of them have copies.

Somewhere I found a list through a City of Chicago website,...I hit print and 80 some pages latter I was using a hole punch and putting it in a three ring binder,...I hope I never have to use it.....lol...

There is a map put out by "American Map" called "Chicago Low Underpass Street Map". I'd provide you the link so you could order the $4.95 map on line, but that would be an infraction of the rules. Though for anyone else, this should give you enough to google. Brinkj23, I note your post is from July, so you've no doubt picked up a copy of this, or another version. May you be well under every overpass you encounter. Drive safe. -
Yeah thanks for the replies, I picked one up oddly enough at a flying J in Oklahoma City I think. Couldnt find one around the chicago area but luckily I havent had to use it yet been lucky to pick up on the west side and north side of chicago and havent had to go right into the main city.

I had a delivery in Chicago a couple of years ago and couldn't pin point it on the Drivers Atlas.
In the front there was a phone number for low clearances. I called and got a live person who gave me directions to where I was going. Got me right to the door of the place. Try it, it works. -
gotta watch them tho they will send u down a road with no truck signs on it...
but they are very good about getting u where your goin
