I believe impeeding traffic tickets should cost more in fines than your typical speeding citation.

On what charge?
Most of the interstates have a minimum speed limit. No law about how long it takes to pass a vehicle.

A professional driver should understand this.

It is like a 4 wheeler getting upset because the slow 75 mph truck takes too long to get out of their way.

You will see more of this, I suggest you get used to it like the rest of us do.

The only time i get mad about a slug truck is when iam going 75 in Nevada and its just me and 2 slugs in the right lane, noone else for miles, as soon as iam 300 yards on the left of them, they pull out in front of you and now i have to slam on the brakes, WHY! Other then that i feel sorry for ya guys. If i see one already passing, i just slow down let him get by, i dont apply pressure, 99% of the time as soon as he can he gets out of the way, if the guy next to him will give him a break. I find, getting mad just raises the blood pressure. Were all just tryin to make a dollar.

So you disagree with me about the displeasure in getting stuck behind a 60 mph truck fo 5 miles??!!!??.....Pffffft, like I'm the bad guy, HAHAHAHA

To you guys that jam the hammer lane up for miles on end, go ahead and continue. Obviously, it's surely your own perogative.....

I'm not sure which is more frustrating - getting stuck behind a slow company truck for miles, or debating with them on the 'net.

Lastly, just to be clear - if theres a 5 mph difference, I'll let you out if I think you can get the pass done quick. But if the speed difference is 15 mph, sorry doods.

Not disagreeing at all bud. I just never cried about it. I always figured I just have to deal with it for a few minutes.
They live it 24/7.

Im governed at 63... I make more money the better fuel milage I get. (also keep my job by keeping the MPG above the minnimum) I honestly feel bad when I am on 2 lane Highway going 55-58 in a 60-65 zone and trucks run up on me without an available passing lane... but Im not going to speed up... you can be a jerk all you want, and yell at me over the radio...

Cry all you want over the radio, I cant hear you. CB is off... if you find it safe enough to pass, I always let off the cruise or gas to assist you as much as possible... your just not going to get me to go faster by riding my bumper... I will even slow down in those small availabe passing zones or truck lanes on a hill to let 1 or 2 more trucks/cars get by... Im not going to speed up or sacrifice fuel... sorry..

Not much of a problem on multi lanes...

Keep in mind the beef here is/was with the 2 trucks side by side in a stalemate for 5 miles, not with a 63 mph truck taking 30 seconds to make a pass.

I would like to think the majority here in this thread would agree that 5 miles to pass is beyond retarded. But I could be surprised I guess.

My point was that if I'm in guy in the left hand lane in this 5 mile stalemate, direct your anger and your howling over the cb at the guy on the right. I didn't get there by going slower than him. At some point, he was holding me up. Maybe he was merging and I was just being courteous and got over to let him in, and now he won't return the favor. (yeah, there are THOSE out there, trust me.) My point behind starting the thread is that if you are the guy in the right hand lane, for the love of Pete, what is so difficult about lifting your foot off the accelerator for 10-15 seconds so the guy passing you can get on around. If you are doing 62 and he's doing 64, you know damned well he's going to get around you sooner or later, why keep him out there for 10 miles?
