The contractor you work for is required to pay you Health & Welfare benefits for up to 40 hours per week. No exceptions, it's in the standard contract. This amounts to around $4.50/hr depending on location and cannot be used for anything else besides health ins and/or retirement.

If your hired on as a "casual" or "extraboard, and get less then 40 hours a week, you don't get the welfare stipend. But since he's going for 46 a week they are definitely taking it out, LOOK CLOSER

Best way is to go sit near the distribution center and make a list of the comings and goings. I THINK it's in the 1000 block of Nandino Rd.
Other mail haulers on here will know better than I. Hopefully they will be along soon. Just trying to give you something to go on.

I just received the latest wage determination for the east coast.

It doesn't matter if you're casual, part-time, or full-time, they still have to pay H&W&P benefits. They don't "take out" anything, H&W&P payments are over and above your wage. For the east coast it's now an additional $4.99/hr up to 40 hrs.

Eagle Express Lines has a terminal there. We just sent some additional trucks out there for some new contracts. You have to go on the web site to fill out app.

    fred1234 Thanks this.
